The moon has always captivated me—not just as a celestial neighbor but as a mysterious presence woven into the tapestry of my dreams. This fascination forms the cornerstone of 'Rêveur,' a venture into the realm of abstract art where I explore the paradox of the moon's remote beauty. My dreams often cast the moon as a central figure, where it appears as both a source of solitude and a beacon of tranquility. These nocturnal visions are tinged with a complex blend of emotions: the loneliness and fear of being inexplicably stranded in the vast void of space contrasts starkly with a profound sense of peace and stillness. This duality mirrors the human condition—alone in the vastness of the universe yet connected through shared wonders. In creating 'Rêveur,' I employed a technique I describe as 'remote abstraction,' which seeks to distill the essence of distant, ineffable experiences into tangible forms. Through abstract expressions, I attempt to convey the ineffable: the eerie silence of space, the serene isolation of the moon, and the surreal quality of a dream where one is both lost and at home in the cosmos. This piece invites viewers to drift into their subconscious, to explore the remote corners of their own experiences with the moon and beyond, bridging the gap between the celestial and the personal.
